I started as a biochemistry major. And then I jumped ship to English after the math kind of drove me out. Math is fun, but I didn’t enjoy the busywork of math, I felt like I was jumping through too many hoops, once I got it I’m like, “I’m done.” I mean, I got A’s in Calculus, so I did do my math…but it’s like, I didn’t want to sit and solve equations for Avogadro’s number every day all day. I felt like I was doing too much of that and not enough blowing stuff up, which is what I had learned chemistry really was when I was in high school.
